PRN Professionals was established in 2018 by our Executive Director, Ashley Kingdon-Reese (MBHCA, LNC (c), SANE Trained, BSN, RN).

Ashley is a fifth generation South Dakotan. After finishing nursing school in 2014, Ashley recognized the need for a different type of care for aging adults. Inspired to help the aging South Dakota population live independently and to address the rural healthcare crisis, she set out to create Independent Health Solutions. Launched with funding awarded from the South Dakota Governor Giant Vision Business Competition, the business is now flourishing and recently expanded to providing medical services for businesses and the local communities of South Dakota. Ashley is a registered nurse, has her Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management and recently completed her dual certification in Legal Nurse Consulting and Forensic Nursing.

Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years and daughter. Ashley is a beloved wife, mother, friend, aunt advocate, and member of her community, which are the titles she loves the most.
Sara Hofer has been in customer service in retail, manufacturing, and healthcare for 27 years. Sara holds a current certified nursing assistant certification in the state of South Dakota. She currently works as the office administrator for PRN Professionals, Inc, a nurse owned travel health care staffing and professional health care agency.
Sara is a member of Huron Area Women Business Leaders, a strong patient advocate, enjoys teaching Sunday School at her church and participates in local horticulture and sharing produce with community members. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 25 years and they have one fabulous son.
